Swadlincote residents warned of boy's Asbo

Details of a 13-year-old boy's Anti-Social Behaviour Order are being handed out to people in South Derbyshire.

Aston Turvey, from Swadlincote, has been given the order for repeated offences including shoplifting, assault and damage to property.

The teenager now risks arrest if he causes distress or alarm to anyone between now and November next year.

Leaflets are being distributed to people in the area telling residents how to deal with any issues.

Community Safety Officer, Sergeant Andy King, is hoping people in the area will tell them if they think Aston Turvey has broken any of the conditions.

"They may have some slight concerns but all I can do is try to reassure them that by helping us prove these people are acting in an antisocial manner, they are in the long run going to help us make their town centres and their areas much safer places."
