Two men die in separate crashes

Two people have died in two separate collisions on Derbyshire roads.

A 26-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a tree on the roadside at Acorn Way in Derby on Saturday at 0545 GMT.

Another man died when the Ford Mondeo he was driving was involved in a collision with a Mercedes on Chander Hill at Chesterfield on Friday evening.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman has appealed for witnesses of both incidents to come forward.
