Residents return after gas leak

Residents in part of Nottingham have been allowed to return to their homes following a gas leak.

Several properties were evacuated as police cordoned off part of Lathkill Close and surrounding roads in Bulwell on Tuesday evening.

The gas leak was isolated by engineers after about three hours and supplies were restored by 2100 GMT.

People living in surrounding areas were advised to keep windows closed. Motorists were urged to avoid the area.
