A convicted murderer who absconded from Sudbury open prison has been arrested in North Lincolnshire late on Friday. Bernard Coddington, 31, who was convicted in 1997 had disappeared along with Stephen Bouskill, 34, who was convicted of drug offences last year. Humberside Police said Coddington was found at 2200 GMT after a day of "busy inquiries" involving several agencies. Officers searching for him said they were aware he had links to both Humberside and Grimsby. Coddington was 17 when he stabbed a man to death in a row over a woman. He was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court in January 1997. In 2001 he failed to have his original 12-year minimum tariff reduced as part of a review related to the early release of the killers of toddler Jamie Bulger.
