Policeman injured by 'stolen' van

An officer has been injured when a police car was in collision with a suspect van in Derbyshire.

Police were called to reports of three men in a van acting suspiciously in Linacres Drive, Chellaston, at about 0030 GMT.

The men ran off after the collision, but police later arrested one man on suspicion of theft of the van.

The police officer was taken to hospital suffering neck pains but was later released.
