Killer absconds from open prison

William Reddican's last known address was in Manchester

A convicted killer has absconded from a Derbyshire open prison.

William Reddican, 56, whose last known address was Stretford, Manchester was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1982 for murder.

On Saturday he failed to return to HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire from a period of temporary leave.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall, of medium build, with short receding greying hair, green eyes and has a Manchester accent.
