Police in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire have joined forces to tackle anti-social behaviour. They have been targeting teenagers who travel between Langley Mill and Eastwood, cause trouble in one area, then cross back over the county border. The two forces have begun to exchange information to enable them to co-ordinate action. They said this approach was producing results, with 70 cans and bottles of alcohol recently confiscated. PC Bob Molloy, from the Langley Mill Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Eastwood is our closest neighbour and many children cross over the boundary between the two places to go to school. "This means that we have to be very proactive in our policing as those causing problems could quickly slip into the next county to avoid the repercussions of their behaviour. "However, by working closely with the Eastwood policing team, we have stopped this from happening and those involved in anti-social behaviour and drinking are picked up by the neighbouring officers."
