Boy dies of 'accidental' injury

A teenage boy has died after suffering a head injury in a Derbyshire town, police said.

Paramedics were called to Lime Tree Avenue in the Midway area of Swadlincote at 2120 BST on Tuesday.

A 14-year-old boy was found injured and taken to Burton Hospital for treatment, but he later died.

Derbyshire Police said they were investigating the cause of the boy's injury, but it was thought to have been an accident.
