Man's body discovered in woodland

The body of a man has been found in woodland in Derbyshire.

Police were called to Ryder Point, Middleton, near Matlock, at about 1300 BST on Sunday. The body was discovered close to an electrical tower.

A police spokesman said it is believed the man had been dead for a number of days. Officers are awaiting results of a post-mortem examination.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information have been asked to contact Derbyshire Police.
