Biker dies in collision with car

A motorcyclist died when his bike collided with a car on a main road in Derbyshire.

Police said the 24-year-old man was riding his Yamaha bike on the A515 when it collided with a Ford C-Max vehicle.

Officers said the Ford was travelling toward Buxton and the motorcyclist was riding in the opposite direction on Friday afternoon.

An investigation into the cause of the accident at Newhaven has been launched and police have appealed for witnesses.
