Seven bailed over death car crash

Two teenagers killed in the crash were from Ashbourne

Seven people arrested in connection with a car crash in Derbyshire which killed three people have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

A Volkswagen Passat and Vauxhall Corsa collided on the A52 at Kirk Langley on 20 October.

Four men, from Ashbourne, were questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

A man, 18, and two women, aged 20 and 16, were questioned on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Andrew Sellers, 18, from Ashbourne, who was the driver of the Corsa died in the crash.

His passenger, Liam Connell, 16, from Ashbourne, also died in the collision along with Passat passenger Alice Greenwood, 12, from Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Alice's mother Juliette, 45, the Passat driver, was seriously injured and her sister Clara, six, was also hurt.

Alice's funeral took place in Emley, West Yorkshire, on Saturday.
