Two quizzed over firearm incident

Two people were arrested after police received reports that a firearm had been discharged in Derby.

Officers were called to a disturbance in Violet Street in Normanton at about 2230 GMT on Tuesday.

A police spokeswoman, who appealed for witnesses to come forward, said it was believed a gun had been fired during the incident.

The two who were arrested were taken to a police station in the city and will be questioned.
