Warning after detonators stolen

Police have issued a warning after railway detonators were stolen from a car in Derbyshire.

The detonators and two power drills were taken from a car parked in Wallis Close, Draycott, on either Thursday evening or early on Friday.

People are asked to contact the police if they find the detonators, which were in a tube marked "Explosives".

The detonators, which contain a small amount of explosive, are placed on rail lines to stop trains in an emergency.

If detonated, the small, disc-shaped detonators give off a blast similar to the force of a shotgun.
