Crackdown tackles illegal bikes

Police patrols are being stepped up in parts of Derby where illegal use of motorbikes and scrambler bikes is on the increase.

Officers will be looking for offenders riding in the Sinfin, Boulton, Chellaston and Alvaston areas.

Sgt Rachel Fletcher said undercover officers would also be used.

She said: "We have problems with bikes that can be used on a road but when the they go across parks it's illegal without owners' permission."
