One room at the museum still remains closed

A museum in Derby forced to close for repairs after it was damaged by flooding has reopened.

Some of the display areas in the Pickford's House Museum - known as the Museum of Georgian Life and Costume - were affected by heavy rainfall.

An internal gutter in the roof overflowed into the house which also affected the electricity supply.

One room still remains closed while costumes that were in storage continue to dry out.

Staff managed to move several of the displays but items of furniture and costumes were damaged by the water.
