A wave of graffiti incidents in a Derbyshire town has brought a warning from police.
The writing has appeared over recent days at various places in Hilton, including a sports pavilion and two electricity substations.
In each case it includes the words "joke" or "joker".
Local officers have said that while the work is quite accomplished, the location is inappropriate and the culprit will be made to clean it up.
Beat Officer Jim Bateman said: "It does look very good in the way that the words are written.
"However in the places they have put it - in electricity substations and on buildings to be rented out - it is simply in the wrong place."
The graffiti is being left for the purposes of evidence but would be cleaned off when the offender is found, Mr Bateman added.
