Police in Derbyshire say a campaign to crack down on mini motos and off-road bikes is working well.
Since April, nine bikes have been seized as part of Operation Tigrone and are due to be disposed of.
Residents helped identify Chaddesden, Oakwood, Spondon and Derwent as hotspots for anti-social behaviour and nuisance motorbikes.
Sgt Jo Butler said police had been working hard in response to a number of complaints from residents.
"The vast majority [of bikes] are driven without any insurance or protection to the rider and this is a tragedy waiting to happen," he said.
"I would urge all parents not to buy these products for their children and they certainly should never be used on roads or in public places."
