Police investigate car shooting

A shot has been fired at a car in part of Nottingham, police have confirmed.

Officers believe a shotgun was fired once at the vehicle on Cockington Road in Bilborough at about 1530 BST on Sunday.

No-one was injured during the incident. A police spokeswoman said it was an "isolated incident" and thought to be a "targeted attack".

She said officers were working to establish a motive for the shooting and appealed for witnesses to come forward.
