Ten people have been released on bail after being arrested during an anti-nuclear protest at a Rolls-Royce factory in Derby on Monday. The protesters had held a rally to oppose Rolls-Royce's production of power plants used to drive Trident nuclear missile submarines. They had chained themselves to concrete blocks at the entrance to the Raynesway site. A specialist police team had to be used to release the protesters. The 10 people were interviewed at St Mary's Wharf Police station and have been bailed pending advice from the Crown Prosecution Service.
