Two men abscond from open prison

Both inmates absconded on Wednesday
Two inmates from the West Yorkshire area have walked out of an open prison in Derbyshire.

Police said Lee Steeples, 31, from Wakefield, serving six and a half years for drugs offences, absconded from HMP Sudbury on Wednesday.

Richard Geary, 43, from Keighley, jailed for three and a half years for theft, also absconded. Both men have Yorkshire accents and numerous tattoos.

More than 660 inmates have walked out of Sudbury prison in the past 10 years.

Steeples is described as white, 5ft 9in tall, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. Geary is 6ft 1in tall, slim, with short straight brown hair, blue eyes and an inch-long scar on his nose.
