Park upgrade project gets started
Construction work has started on a new £500,000 community centre in Osmaston Park in Derby.

The local community and the city council hope the facilities will be ready to open at the end of July.

The building will include a community cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, a community hall and garden.

The centre is part of a £1m facelift for Osmaston Park which includes new play and sports facilities and improved paths and lighting.

Cllr Alan Graves said: "It is the last major piece of the jigsaw in the overall park regeneration project which has created a vibrant public open space for the local community to enjoy."
