Police name fatal crash victims

Police said one of the cars 'split open'
Four people who were killed in a collision on a Derbyshire road have been identified by police.

A Seat Ibiza collided with a Subaru on the A608 at Morley on Saturday night.

Natalie Smith-Calladine, 22, of Ripley, Hayley Valentine, 22, of Heanor, Carl Holland, 21, and Christopher Downes, 20, both of Langley Mill, died.

They were all travelling in the Seat. Two people from Nottinghamshire in the Subaru were taken to hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
