Nurse industrial action suspended
Unions representing nurses in Derby have agreed to suspend any industrial action over planned pay cuts.

The trust which runs the city's main hospitals wants to downgrade some posts as part of restructuring. It said it needs to make cuts totalling £55m.

Unison and the Royal College of Nursing will put any walkout plans on hold while they have talks with management.

In return, the Derby Hospitals Foundation Trust said it will not begin restructuring for the next three weeks.

Some nurses claim they could be up to £7,000 worse off over two years if they are made to take a lower grade job.
