Motorbike crackdown 'a success'
Police in Derbyshire say an operation to stop people riding motorcycles through Peak District villages is working well.

Operation Blackbrook began in April after residents in Taddington, Longstone Edge, Baslow and Eyam complained about noise from motorbikes.

Pc Kevin Lowe said complaints from residents had dropped since the start of the initiative.

He added riders found in the villages tended to be unknowing visitors.

"We have had great success in Taddington with the introduction of information signs telling riders where they cannot go," said Pc Lowe.

"The operation is ongoing and we hope to see further success in the future."
