Extra police are to patrol a Derbyshire fair as part of a wider crackdown on violent crime and criminal damage.
Officers will target Ripley Fair after several incidents of violence and anti-social behaviour were reported at last year's event.
The move is part of Operation Relentless which was relaunched at the beginning of the month.
The Ripley policing team said families should be able to go to the fair without worrying about crime.
Ripley Fair takes place between 24 October and 29 October.
The first phase of Operation Relentless, in May and June, saw 700 arrests and a 12% fall in burglaries.
