Police tackle domestic violence
Police say a campaign to cut domestic violence in a Derbyshire town has been a success.

Officers in Belper have been running Operation Joderhorn for six weeks.

The initiative was set up to reduce domestic violence and help improve the way incidents are investigated by police officers.

A police spokesperson said a detection rate of 67% has now been achieved over the past 12 months - a 10% increase on the previous year.

Domestic violence accounts for 25% of crime in the town.
