Bottled water production to end
Production of a Derbyshire bottled water is coming to an end after a significant fall in sales.

Nestle Waters said sales of its Ashbourne brand fell to 1.3 million bottles last year - almost half as many as the year before.

The decision will not affect employee levels at the Buxton plant, where the water is bottled.

There will now be talks with local politicians about the future of the Ashbourne site.

A Nestle spokesman said Ashbourne represented a tiny part of its bottled water sales and had been deemed commercially unviable.

Water has been produced at the site for the past 30 years.
