Police find body of weir canoeist
The body of a man has been recovered from the River Derwent after a canoeist plunged over a weir.

The 27-year-old man went missing on Saturday afternoon while he was canoeing at Darley Abbey, near Derby.

A police underwater search unit discovered the body close to the weir on Sunday morning.

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious and a file had been prepared for the coroner.
