Learning problems centre to open
A new multi-million pound centre for people with learning difficulties will open in Derbyshire next summer.

It will be built in Long Eaton, replacing the 40-year-old Eaton Vale Centre in Briar Gate, which no longer meets modern standards.

The £2.3m centre will include facilities for wheelchair users, an arts and crafts room as well as a sensory garden.

The building will also house the community learning disability team.

Derbyshire county councillor Dave Allen, said: "A lot of planning has gone into the new day service and the result will be a first-class facility for people with learning disabilities and the wider community in the Erewash area."
