Rail passengers warned of delays
Midland Mainline have announced trains will not be stopping at Derby station on Sunday because of engineering work.

The rail firm's services between Sheffield and London via Nottingham will run hourly as usual.

Alternative bus services will be provided, but passengers are warned to expect some disruption.

Passengers are being asked to check timetables, which are available at stations and on the company's website.

Services to Sheffield, Leeds and York will be diverted between Loughborough and Chesterfield and run direct via Toton and the Erewash Valley, and not call at Derby.

Services that start and terminate at Derby will be diverted via an alternative route between Derby and Loughborough and will take longer.

Southbound trains will leave Derby earlier than normal and will not call at Long Eaton.
