Crowds expected to discover site
Hundreds of people are expected to attend the first World Heritage Site Discovery Day in Derbyshire.

The day features 41 events along the 15 miles between the Silk Mill in Derby and Sir Richard Arkwright's Masson Mills in Matlock Bath.

Free tours of Cromford Mill and the Silk Mill were also on offer as well as around the communities of Darley Abbey, Belper, Cromford and Milford.

The event will end with the final night of the Matlock illuminations.

A horse-drawn boat was scheduled to make a journey down the Cromford canal on Saturday for the first time in many years.
