Police probe attempted abduction
Police are investigating the attempted abduction of a teenage girl in the Normanton area of Derby.

The teenager was waiting at a bus stop on Upperdale Road near Crewe Street on Sunday evening when a silver saloon car pulled up beside her.

Police say she was grabbed by the vehicle's occupants, described as four black men, and then bundled into the back of the car.

She was driven a short distance away but released unharmed.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to contact them. They are not linking this to the attempted abduction of a boy in the city last week.
