A shipment of second-hand football shirts donated by football supporters in Derby has been sent to a youth team in Nigeria.
The shirts were sent to a youth team in Nigeria
The donation follows a link-up between a radio station in Port Harcourt - home town of former Rams defender Taribo West - and BBC Radio Derby.
More than 400 shirts were donated by fans who received a £5 discount off a new strip in exchange.
The kit was presented to the Lion Strikers youth football team this week.
Penny Dale from BBC World Service handed the shirts to Victor Effiong, coach of the Lion Strikers.
Central defender Taribo West moved to Championship side Plymouth Argyle after a short stint at Derby County.
He has had 40 international caps with the Nigerian national team and played in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups.
The shirt amnesty lasts until the end of August.
