Energy-saving centre being built
A special heater that uses energy stored underground is being developed for a Peak District visitors centre.

The Ground Source Heat Pump will be fitted at the Moorlands Centre, which is being built at Edale in Derbyshire.

The device is one of several environmentally-friendly features, including a grass-covered roof and facilities for recycling rain water.

The Peak District Sustainable Development Fund has given £10,000 for the schemes.
