Appeal over 'eyesore' car ruling
The Trabants are in Mr Goodall's back garden
A Derbyshire man is appealing against a previous conviction over his collection of East German Trabant cars.

Last October Graham Goodall was fined £750 for failing to remove 40 of his 49 Trabants from land at his home in Middleton-by-Youlgreave.

The Peak District National Park Authority, said people had complainted the vehicles were an eyesore.

Mr Goodall has said attempts to make him move the cars are a breach of his human rights.

The Trabants, originally built for workers in the former Communist state and now traded for up to £7,000, are parked 400 metres from a public footpath.

Authority officials claimed that following complaints from residents they had no choice but to act to prevent "harm to the character and amenity of the area".
