Inquiry after fatal house fire

Fire and police officials are investigating a fatal fire in Derbyshire.

One person died in the house fire near Belper which started in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Fire crews from Belper, Duffield and Derby were called to the house on Highwood Avenue in Bargate.

The body was recovered from an upstairs bedroom in the house. Derbyshire Police are appealing for anybody with information to contact them.
