Fire victim saved by firefighters

One person has been rescued by emergency crews from a fire at a flat in Derby.

The fire brigade was alerted to the flames at the property on St. Giles Road at just after 2100 GMT on Saturday.

Firefighters rescued the victim who was then taken to the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary by ambulance for treatment.

It is not yet known how badly injured the person is, or what caused the fire.
