Security guard attacked at store
A security guard has been attacked as he tried to restock a supermarket cash machine in a Derbyshire village.

Two men wearing balaclavas hit the guard over the head as he tried to deliver money at the Tesco Express store on Common Road in Church Gresley.

A man who was shopping at the time of the attack at 1800 GMT on Monday, went to the guard's assistance and stopped the two men escaping with the cash.

Both the security guard and the shopper received minor injuries in the attack.

They were taken to the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The attackers made off in the direction of Albert Village, driving a black Audi A4 car.

Police are appealing for witnesses.
