Charges after 77-year-old's death
A 34-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the manslaughter of an elderly man in Derbyshire.

Norman Brown, 77, was found unconscious outside an address in Alport Grove, Glossop on Saturday night.

Mr Brown died from head injuries in Hope Hospital on Sunday. Thomas Oliver from Glossop appeared at Chesterfield Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

He will appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 10 August.
