Council unhappy over spoof site
Gripe site
The site looks professional
Derby City Council is considering legal action against a man who has set up a spoof website pouring scorn on the council.

The website, called The Derby Gripe, has used the council's logo and claims the connecting Derby scheme has left the city looking like a building site.

The site, which appears quite professional, also attacks the council on other fronts, including parking, traffic congestion and rubbish collection.

The council says it is happy to respond to fair criticism but plans to involve lawyers over the improper use of its logo and possible libellous comments.

The City Council's Deputy Leader, Philip Hickson, said the spoof could be very confusing for Internet novices.
