Men in court over £365,000 raid

Three men have appeared in court charged with robbery of £365,000 from a security van in Carlisle.

The van was targeted making a delivery to the Co-op cash machine on Central Avenue, Harraby, on Tuesday. A security guard received minor facial injuries.

Lee Hickman, 23, Alan Roberts, 25, and Stephen Hender, 22, all from Liverpool, were remanded in custody after appearing at Carlisle Crown Court.

They are next due to appear at the court on 25 January.

Police have also arrested and bailed a 26-year-old man from Liverpool.
