Arrests after city police pursuit

Police vehicles pursued the suspects through Carlisle

Three men have been arrested following a police pursuit through Carlisle.

Officers were called to reports that a security van was being attacked by a group of masked men on Central Avenue on Tuesday morning.

The men fled in a Vauxhall Zafira, before changing to an Audi and heading in the direction of the A595. Both cars were followed by police vehicles.

Police said three men had been arrested in connection with the incidents, but released no further details.
