Views sought over town bus route

Bus passengers in a Cumbrian town have been asked to help shape the timetable of a route being put out to tender.

Service 70 is used by people to travel around Ulverston, including to the town's health centre.

Cumbria County Council wants to ensure access to the service is considered when the timetable is designed.

A drop-in session to give members of the public the chance to air their views is being held in Ulverston's Coronation Hall on Thursday morning.

Councillor Tim Knowles, cabinet member for transport, said: "Our passenger transport team will be glad to listen to residents' views and comments, and will also be on hand to answer questions that people might want to bring up."
