E-fit of sex attack suspect
The man is described as having a "distinctive" thin and pale face

Police hunting two attackers who sexually assaulted a woman in Carlisle said they have had a big response from the public for help.

The 21-year-old was attacked as she walked along a footpath from Stanwix Bank to Cavendish Terrace on 4 January.

Images of one of the men was placed on leaflets and posters around the city.

Cumbria Police said a number of new leads were now being followed up after one of the best responses from the community to an appeal.

Det Supt Cath Thundercloud, who is leading the investigation, said: "I would like to thank the people of Carlisle for their ongoing support during this inquiry, and I would urge people to keep calling us with information.

"The offender pictured in the e-fit is quite distinctive, with a thin face and pale complexion."

The second attacker is described as white, possibly with a tanned complexion, aged between 13 and 25, of thin to medium build with short hair.

He was wearing a white v-neck, long-sleeved jumper.
