School's £5,000 computers stolen

Laptops worth about £5,000 have been stolen from a school in Cumbria.

Thieves broke into Holm Cultram Abbey primary school in Wigton overnight on Tuesday.

A police spokesman said that the students were devastated by the theft of the computers, which had only been bought four months ago.

He appealed for witnesses or anyone who may have been offered the Dell Latitude laptops for sale to come forward and report their findings to the police.
