Fire crews tackle stolen car fire

Fire crews were called to put out a stolen car that had been set alight on a street in a town in Cumbria.

The car was stolen from a driveway on Walnut Hill in Barrow-in-Furness between midnight and 0700 GMT on Saturday, police said.

The green Vauxhall Astra was discovered at 0710 GMT on fire on St Luke Street in the town.

Firefighters tackled the blaze and Cumbria Police has asked for anyone with information to contact them.
