Man assaulted outside nightclub

A 27-year-old man needed hospital treatment after being attacked outside a nightclub in Cumbria.

The 27-year-old was outside Scorpio in Lawson Street, Barrow, in the early hours of Sunday when he was set upon by another man.

Cumbria Police said he was repeatedly punched and suffered facial injuries. His attacker was shaven-headed and was wearing a long, dark-coloured coat.

Officers said the area was busy at the time and have appealed for witnesses.
