Man jailed for assaulting uncle

A Barrow man who attacked his uncle leaving him with a fractured cheekbone has been jailed.

Ian Bolton, 24, of Coulton Street, lashed out when Stephen Bolton made a wrongful accusation against him, Preston Crown Court heard.

Appearing in court on Monday, Mr Bolton admitted unlawful wounding.

Wayne Goldstein, defending, said the fall-out and assault were "inexplicable" as the two men had always been the of best friends.
