There are still flood warnings is place in west Cumbria

Householders in west Cumbria are being warned there is still a risk of flooding after heavy rain.

The worst-affected areas over the past few days include Egremont, Maryport, and Coach Road in Whitehaven.

Flood warnings remain in place at Keswick Campsite and the River Ehen at Egremont, particularly around Bleach Green, Ennerdale Mill and Wood Bank.

Meanwhile, the bad weather has forced organisers to cancel this year's Wasdale Show and Shepherd's Meet.

There are also flood watches in place - which means a risk of flooding but a lower chance than in areas with a flood warning - along the rivers Eden, Brathay, Rothay, Winster, Caldew, Pettril, Cocker, Marron, Derwent, Duddon and Crake, the Environment Agency said.
