Farm meat worth £1,000 is stolen

Meat valued at £1,000 has been stolen from a farm in Cumbria.

Thieves targeted the farm in the Carrock Fell area of Wigton and stole 20 trays of meat some time between 9 and 10 October.

The produce, ranging from sausages to joints of meat, was labelled and packaged for sale.

Anyone offered meat for sale is being asked by police to take details of those selling it, and if they are in a car, to get the registration number.
